Got the midweek blues ? Well we have some great news ! Grab your friends and coworkers and head to Dean’s Seafood Grill & Bar for one of their wine/beer socials on Tuesday and/or Thursday. They are held 6:30-7:30p at the restaurant and feature three wines or beers paired with delicious hors d’oeuvres.
On Thursday October 8, 2015, SobeSavvy.com joined others for their first wine social featuring South African Wines. It was an intimate sit down, fun and educational experience. Each wine was carefully selected to appeal to a wide range of palletes.
Macey Long from Long Beverage was the wine rep on hand to answer any questions. We learned a variety of wine facts, trivia and tips such as :
* Red Wine is at its best 2-3 hours after it has been opened.
* Hold your wine glass against a white piece of paper to see and enjoy the color
* Do not frown upon bottles of wine that do not have a cork but instead is a screw top or a “Stelvan” closure.
Lelah Moore, Assistant Manager at Dean’s Seafood along with Todd, our waiter for the evening, made sure that we had everything we needed to make for an enjoyable experience. The Chef customized this delicious 3 course menu pairing superbly with the wines :
